About
You awake outside the walls of a fortified town. Everything is silent. No suggestion that life exists here. Behind the town walls, everything is as the people left it: food is set out on the tables, ready to eat. Shoes are by the door. The coals in the fireplaces have all burned down, the lamps have all burned out. The people have simply vanished. In a strange, empty world of hostile townships and ancient creatures long thought lost to legend, you must survive as best you can. But there are rumors of a place known as Carghast, said to be a gateway between worlds. Find it, and you may be able to return to wherever you came from. Your choice is simple: stay and make a new life for yourself in this remote Victorian landscape, or venture out into the wilderness on a perilous quest to find the way home. | |||
